Yep you'll want a pipe/1+2 filters holes in the airbox and a PC,change of bars, take the mirrors off and clean the front end up,change the front brake to a radial,Yamaha make some good suff but they couldn't make a set of bars as long as they've got hole in their A.

BUT where it gets really complicated after a while and you have your XT running like it should you then start thinking well what about more HP and a lot less weight and look at a 690 SMC,I decided against it after much agonising of standing on the edge looking into that KTM black hole and thought 'You know what I'll stick with what I've got it's less hassle'

Best of luck and Happy Christmas :icon_biggrin:

I've ridden the 690SMR, 690SMC and the Duke3... I didn't find any of them as nice/involving as the XTX.

Hia, welcome along :icon_sunny:

I've got a K5 750 and i bought an XT660R for work / winter use. Tell you what, the XT has really impressed me, i'm enjoying myself that much i'm even questioning whether to sell the K5 or not next summer - time will tell.

Either way they are cracking bikes and i'm sure you'll enjoy yours :066:
