G'day from Oz
G'day All,
I'm from Brisbane, I got my 2010 XTR about a month ago. Done my first mods, DNA Stage 1 and 2 filters and some other items from OTR. Planning to get the Kev mods done soon (can't wait). This bike probably never see dirt, it's all a bit special at the moment. Enjoying the xt660 site, all the info and posts - I should have them all read in few years :) Cheers Glenn |
:hello: and :welcome: to :660:

Another Brissy bloke
Hey Glenn
Good choice with the XTR. I love mine more and more each ride. Dropped it the other day at slow speed on the dirt (damn Tourances!) and scratched the clutch casing... I'm still grieving. I'm a Brissy boy too (north side) and do a lot of my riding around Mt Mee and Sunshine Coast hinterland. Drop me a line if you are up this way and want a riding buddy... Um...two XTRs riding together - might constitute a gang and we know Campbell wouldn't be too happy about that! Anyway, it's great you've found the forum. Especially since none of the local Yam dealers seem to know too much about the R, or care. Best advice comes from here. Cheers... Dan |
Hi Dan,
Got my R secondhand from Sunstate on the sunny coast. The previous owner looks to have done a fair bit of offroad riding, still working on getting it looking as good as possible. Sounds good, I did the Dayboro, Mt Mee,Woodford, Maleny and return ride last Wednesday, my first "what has this bike got" ride. Very happy with it!!. Hmmmm, yes we could be dreaded "Bikers"... *gulp*.....Campbell..... Cheers Glenn |
