Ready for the Dakar???

Hello all,

Having sold my (2nd) Tenere a couple of weeks ago I have just bought my new (to me) bike:

KTM 690 Enduro R 2012 with Rally Raid fairing and tanks and a few other bits of bling :112:

I'm going to confess, and will pay penance later.

It looks rather tasty.

What's you plans Nick ?

Riding all the way back home to Brazil ?
Heroes Legend ?

On the downside, it does have "steel me you scrotes" written all over it - keep it well locked up.

Yup! Must admit I'm a bit concerned about that, I will be changing the graphics to something a little less LOUD!!

Plans, well, there's an idea....

First trip will be down to Spain/Portugal, I'm going to re-do our 2010 trip in Portugal, hopefully to the end this time then over to Morocco with some of the other guys from here and ABR.

I'll be doing a shakedown up to the Lakes/Scotland maybe the weekend before you trip to Skye, so I'll pop in and say hello.

Nick.

Before even thinking of dakar test Tuareg rallye in Tunisia instead, if you can handle the sands then perhaps just perhaps think further. ;)

I'd have to admit, if I could afford it, I'd have one of those.

It's OK, I'm pretty sure he was joking.

Besides, in order to race that at the Dakar you'd also need the short-stroke 450cc engine kit which RRP/Torque are developing and which a certain lady racer of this parish will be taking to Dakar in 2015.

Not exactly subtle ;) ...but very very nice indeed.

The Dakar was sort of a joke.......

Dakar rally

Well at least if you stack it and end up in a ditch upside down, you will be easy to find with those wheels!

At least its colour coded and matching to the frame. Im a fan of the stealth look myself. But ain't nothing wrong with grabbing people's attention!
Enjoy the bike Nick.
