Hi from Bucks UK.

Hi, I'm Steve and have just brought a used 2009 XTZ.
I'm glad it's used as it's no longer pristine so I can experiment a bit with it.
Only problem so far is tram railing from the offroad front tyre. Have reduced the pressure which cured to a degree. Have previously owned XR400, WR250 and Transalp.
Look forward to being part of this group.

:006: Hi Steve and welcome to the forum

Regarding the tram-lining, it could well be worth having a close inspection of the steering head bearings. The root cause may well be the tyres, but it is well documented that the headstock was terribly under-greased at the factory. Sticky, tight or corroded bearings will give the very sypmtoms you describe. Get the front wheel off the ground and investigate how smoothly the bars flop from one side to the other.

Good luck getting it sorted.

Hello Steve, XTZ rider from Bucks, UK!
My name is Steve, I'm an XTZ rider from Bucks, UK too!

Is yours a blue one? Might have seen you two-up on Marlow Hill the other day?

Mine's a dirty black one and I have a large Jolly Roger on the back of my jacket so give us a wave if you see me!
