Finally my XT660R are done or almost! :)

Were shall I start.

I bought my XT660r -07 after I sold my beauty KTM690EnduroR -11 I rode Tuareg Rallye -12 with. To much money I have spent before & and under the rallye so I had to sell. After couple of month I could not be without a bike. Have looked a little bit of the XT660 before but felt it had to be many mods to compare with a standard KTM and it is a heavy one. Found a XTR -07 with only 4000km and only one owner a girl. Finally rode it home and wondering ok should I let it be original or well you see the rest below :)))

I like hardcore offroad and two main things I had to do was a 2-1 exhaust system to make it higher and other front fork. I have a tread how I mounted the front fork here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=20031

Have not tested it yet because the job had been busy but perhaps I,am going for a offroad event called Adventures Days here in Sweden, many BMW but others too. Got two sets of wheels one when I go on tarmac & then on for some fun.

Here is the spec.

* XT660R -07
* Black Excel wheels 21" front, back 18"
* 30mm higher linkbones back
* KTM690EnduroR 2012 front fork 48mm + KTM front wheel
* KTM690EnduroR front brakes with 300mm disc incl brakehose
* KTM690 front fender
* Steel brakehose at back brake
* OTR 2-1 exhaust system
* Power commander V incl O2 optimizer
* Rally foam filter
* Fatbar
* Metal Mule bash plate
* YZ foot pegs from Ebay, pegs are fitted on most YZ at the 90th

Left to do is to mod the plate at the back soon.
Really love the XT low and mid power but damn heavy compared to KTM625 and 690. Are trying to get to my friend who got a scale and see how much I got off the XT. Feel free to comment.

:023: Looking good - love the forks!

I see you used the KTM yokes - how much of a job was it getting the OE steering stem to work with them?

Thanks, looks a little bit nasty with bigger forks! :)
This came from 690Enduro, don,t know about other KTM Yokes but this was very little job if you go a workshop nearby. Only took of little bit of the orig stem to fit the bottom Yoke and drilled a bigger hole under the stem to fit the screw and last thing do a metal ring to the top Yoke that,s it!
