Stuck Key In Ignition
 

Started bike this morning and steering was stiff going to the right but left is fine I cant get key back out ignition to turn bike off so had to disconnect battery to avoid flattening it so am guessing steering lock has seized key is in on position but pressed in as to put steering lock on the bike is 2005 xt660x old but first big bike and has had no problems up until now owned it a month any help would be appreciated thanks.

Apart from suggesting squirting a load of WD40 into it, nothing that helpful really. (note, WD40 is not ideal for locks, but it is a good releasing agent. Proper lock stuff is graphite based)

Thanks for the help I had already tried that I stripped the front off took barrel off and someone must have tried to snap my steering lock last night so I removed the bits of metal that where blocking the locking piston and its smooth as ever thanks anyway.
