'12 XTR having a slight hickup

HI Guys/Gals,

Got a new XTR for my wife a few weeks ago and from the start noticed a slight "hickup" every few seconds while riding.. When idling it sounds ok and nothing can really be noticed but when riding it every few second it feels as if it is missed a fire. Hard to explain really.. I took it on normal urban roads and on the motorway and tried to figure out if it is just the road but I actually think it is the engine doing it.. I cannot hear that the engine is doing anything strange but that slight dip is noticeable.

Is this just because it is not fully run in yet or is this something the workshop needs to check out.. I had a look at the CO settings but I dont really think it is a surging problem, so left the setting the same as factory.

My '13 XTZ is also new and I cannot say I feel the thing happen on it...

Any ideas please...?

The bike never cut out on idling, and like I said when idling I cannot really hear any "surging". We can just feel it when riding. I must say that when I enabled the RPM counter the bike's idling was a little low when warm, about 1250rpm..

I just did not think this was classed as surging cause surging in my electronic background means more as in more power and not a slight dip in power. But I am still green on the bike front so learning a lot..

I'll post an update on the outcome.
