Gearing for 18" rear

Ive just ordered the 18" rear wheel from OTR and I need to choose what size rear sprocket.
Who has an 18" rear and how many teeth do you run at the rear?

Cheers,
Tim.

I guessed 15:50 with a 120/90-18 tyre on.

It feels slightly lower than stock. The speedo is comically out - something like 84mph is a GPS 70mph - although since I never checked it with the stock wheel and sprockets I don't know how much is 'new' error and how bad it was anyway.

I used a 15/48 combo i.c.m. with the 18" rear.

You can do the math here: www.gearingcommander.com

Thanks guys,
yeah OTR tell me a 48T rear gives the closest to stock ration. Being a bit lower couldnt hurt tho.

Yeah so I've got a 48T comming with the wheel. If I want to change later on what sprocket do I buy (to suit which model KTM bike) due to the KTM hub?
Do ya know?

Anything for an EXC or SX. Or indeed probably any KTM.

ISTR that OTR ship the wheels with a disc, but if you ever need a new one, you need one for a 690 or 9x0 (240mm) not an EXC/SX (220mm). Ask me how I know...

You'll also need something around a 118 link chain, the stock 110 will be too short. I bought a 120 link, and I think took four links out, but with hindsight that was too many, as it's a bit tight getting the wheel in. Might be fine with a 48t sprocket.
