Thermo Fan.
Hardly a fan of the price. Over $500 here in Oz from the dealer.
Anyone got info on a cheaper way. The stupid thing has had too much water in it l guess. Finally chewed itself out inside by the feel of it. Hate the stupid way it mounts too, kind of leaves one with only one option, $500+ replacement. Stupid Italian crap! |
What is the thermo????? You mean the radiator?????? If yes then surely you can mount a non Yamaha one?????
|
NO not the radiator.
Thermo Fan... or in Italian Yammy speak....... BLOWER ASSEMBLY.... My local bike shop will do one for $450 which is still daylight robbery. Lucky for me its winter time. |
get on ebay ...23 quid for a brand new fan
you will have to make a subframe to tap it in to but its not difficult to do other than that you will have to take the pain ...its a 20 min job to take tha rad off ir ecently fixed one for a m8 he had dropped the bike and the fins were sticking on the frame ..we managed to dremmel the ends off the fan and it ran again ..worth alook take it off and run it dirct from the battery make sure is knackered or just sticking check the fuse under the seat via the handbook ..if its blown you may be able to get it running again http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle...item2ec3680739 |
I would mount another fan something like this one.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-KTM-1...item460eb533e6 Or find the size you want then search Ebay for a Spal fan, just make sure you buy a fan that sucks not blows. http://www.spalusa.com/store/main.as...oryBody&c=FAMO http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40 |
Thanks guys. I will have a check on all your sugestions and let you know how l go.
Fabrication of a new mount is easy enough for me. I checked it again today when l got home from work. Left the bike running in the garage and the warning light came on before the fan. Whoops. I will check the fuse but l think the fan is lunched. Thanks again. |
