Lakes V - Right, that's Christmas out of the way, it's time to start planning......

I hope you all had a suitably intoxicating season (for those who partake), and Santa brought you everything you desired ?

No ??? well here at XT660.com we have the answer........

Lakes V, 9th through 12th May 2013

The planning team will soon be awakening from our slumber (or hangover in some cases!), we'll be stretching and welcoming the new year....

What we now want is your requests, suggestions, expectations, wants, desires and needs.

Take a look here for all the information currently available -> http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=19244

This is YOUR event, and without your participation it's just a couple of blokes in a field talking crap (rather than a larger group of blokes in a field talking crap).

So, don't be shy, lets have some feedback.........

OK - Number one is no flamin rain! I don't mind the odd drop, but not enough to get the animals moving two by two.. If only you could fix the sun eh!

I'd like lots of trail riding on Friday and not to crash on Saturday while collecting the POI's.

Other than the above and sitting around talking cobblers and drinking beer I'm easy.

Happy to help with something if I can. Off Road riding basics etc etc.

Deffo no 'flamming rain', it's been a while since we had any eruptions here (unless you count that episode in the public loos with Steve and the 3 day old Madras)

There will be lead rides on Friday, trail, road and mixed (easy trail for dual sport tyres), or I can post up the links to the CCC website with all the trails listed and you can make your own up.

StumpyDave is running the Mucky Friday stuff, but I'm sure he'll be happy to give you a job.

As for talking B011oxses, I don't think anyone needs any assistance there, there will be B011oxses in abundance, and a nice dry marquee to talk it all in.

We hope to be using the same site (I say hope, as I've not begged forgiveness for last years gathering from the nice lady in the farm), so even if it is raining cows and sheep, there will be the choice of B&B, Pod or Tent - I think a Pod is right up your street Mark, so get saving.

I cannot promise the dry stone walls will not leap out in front of you, the straight road suddenly turning sharply left or right, or the crack suicide sheep from marking you for termination, or indeed any puddles that may be a little deeper than they look. Sometimes life is dangerous :016:

Yep - fine with me.

I'll be up on the Thursday night so could do a look see Friday am early doors and then perhaps take two rides as folk arrive.

As long as I have time to stock up the beer rations I'm available to assist.

I think that is a prerequisite for the weekend.
