Hi from Kent.

Morning All,

Great site, I have been doing my homework here on the 660Z.
At 5'7" I am worried it might be a bit tall. I know there are options to lower the seat and suspension, if someone has done this can you comment on the ride and stability of the bike ?? Hoping to test ride one at my local dealer when the weather settles.....

Welcome mate.

I am only 2" taller and I have lowered my ten and have no problems at all riding on the road.
Off road I struggle some times in deep ruts as you would expect, but that is all.

:006: Welcome aboard mate.

I shouldnt get too hung up on how tall the Tenere is. After all Gaston Rahier was only 53 and won the Paris-Dakar in 84/85 on a very tall bike! ;)

Rahier didn't have to stop at traffic lights. So his feet could stay on the footpegs.

:hello: and :welcome: to :660:

There are ways around it, first and foremost, you can get a seat upholsterer to unstaple the vinyl cover and cut out about 2 inches of foam from the middle scoop where you seat and restaple it, then you can drop the fork yokes and adjust the rear shock: all 3 combined together will make the bike more accessible to you.
