I would prob avarage 2 a year..always somewhere
out on the trails... plus 5 or 6 tyre changes on 2 bikes a years... so a tyre repaire is no longer a issue.. I find it harder getting the wheels off & on the bike .. fixing the puntcure is the easy bit.. |
My last puncture was on my old XJR1200
It was:
- the front tyre (all but stuffed anyway), probably wouldn't have happened if it was new/lots of tread tyre. - a short and pointed piece of bone (didn't see it go in don't know how long it was going down for it just started to get sloppy on the corners) but ever since then I make a habit of avoiding road kill. - waited on the side of the road for the NRMA on a wet sunday afternoon for about 2 1/2 hours - fixed by NRMA by some green stuff in a can that the tyre place hated and I was on my way in about 5 minutes - rode about 200 more km on the temporary repair before I got the tyre replaced. |
