Greetings from The Hunter Valley - East Coast Australia

Glad to be on board guys ....

Coming from a trailriding background and the XT660Z is my first "Adventure-Bike"....I am loving it!!!!...Just need to get used to the extra weight when coming into tight corners on dirt.....WhoaaaaNeddy!!!!!

"xt660.com" has been a revelation, and the Admin staff are certainly deserving of congratulations. I am finding it a great source of information for someone like myself, who is new to dual sport bikes/riding.

Here is a pic of a recent ride through the Hunter Valley Vineyards and the magnificent Cedar Creek area....

Not so far away

We should get together for a ride. Not in the next couple of weeks but at some stage.

Making me homesick

Welcome aboard but please no more pic's like that as you are making me homesick for the Hunter and all the great riding there, haha.

Oh well I'll be back down there soon enough at sunny singo for a week here and there to enjoy the area, enjoy and cheers.

Taken on the backroad from Wollombi to the Boree Track (Finchley Trig). In my opinion, possibly the best short section of dirt road in NSW with fast sweeping corners, plenty of stream crossings and magnificent scenery....

supamanaint 18-09-12 09:49

You just had to do that ya cheecky ******, been through there on my TT600R and is much fun:yahoo:.

Ok thats it, I will been back down there in 3-4 weeks time for a ride around and also heading down to the Vic border via some nice roads.

Now if you keep putting pic's like those up you are going to give away how wonderfull it is in the Hunter and how close so much great riding is to the area.

G'day Seahorse...

Any chance another newbie could tag along? :toothy10:

I still ride like a bit of a grandma, but If I slow yous down too much, then you could always leave me behind.

.

Can you ride mid-week or are you restricted to weekends...?

ScottyD 30-09-12 13:02

Well, I'm currently hunting for a new job (my redundancy paid for the new Tenere :newspaper:), so I honestly don't know right now. Personally, I'd prefer mid week, but I'm happy & ready any time so I'll take whatever comes along.

If you can give a date, & if its at all doable for me, then I'll be there with skates on. :occasion14:

Midweek is best for me (and far safer)... Watch for a PM
