Oil O-ring seals
Hi guys, Want to replace the o-ring seals after an oil change are they imperial or metric? id like to get a box of multiple sizes suitable for bikes and also wheres the best place to buy? based on price & quality etc
Thanks in advance Steve |
Right or wrong (?) I don't replace O-rings after every oil change. I just inspect them for cross-section roundness, and if they aren't too flattened I re-use them. When they are up for renewal, I just buy OEM.

Everything on the bike is metric (except for tyre diameter....), so I would've thought O rings would be metric too. I think the section thickness is important also....

Otherwise, yeah, replace when it starts leaking. Which it probably wont. I've got a big stack of filter cover ones because they come with the filters, but I've never changed one. |
sorry to ask....but...what O rings are you on about? you mean the little orange one on the oil bleed screw or what ever its called?!?! (the bottom bolt on the oil filter cover)
