Hi all, was a member on here back in 2004(i think).Been through the xt range from the old air cooled xt 500,the xt 600 and then the first xt660r back in 2004.Alas the 2004 xt was a nightmare to ride with terrible fuelling issues, that even a power commando failed to rectify, resulting in me abandoning the xt,s.On a versys at the mo,but now considering giving the xt660r another chance. Hopefully the fuelling issues have been resolved after all these years ?
Will browse the forum to see how things have progressed over the years.

G'day Frost,

Been on a 400km ride on the R today.

I have fitted an Akro 2-1 pipe & O2 eliminator.

I didn't notice any surging at all, but it's less noticeable on knobby tyres.

Just my 2c worth. Boneman

Welcome back, there are still a few of us long termer's still around.

The 04 models were the worst with the 00 ECU's for surging, I would take one of the newer ones for a ride.
