barback risers

There has been a few discussions on here about risers on the Z, but does anyone have any experience with risers moving the bars up and also back a notch? Like the SW-Motech barback risers below or Rox vario risers or something similar?

I'm especially interested in whether there are any issues with clutch or throttle cables and whether access to the main switch is obstructed in any way?

This looks quite cool. I would like to try a set of those to move the bars forward instead of backwards, hopefully make riding while standing easier. That should also solve the issue with the cables being too short perhaps.

I just bought some cheap no-name bar risers from the rack at my dealers the day I got the bike, but hm maybe I should try one of those.

Do you have a link?

Rox Risers

These are the Rox Risers on my bike. I'm tall so I actually adjusted them to move the handlebars up and a bit forward. As you can see from their design, they are almost infinitely adjustable.

BUT, moving the bars back with these would probably be too much for the stock lines, as they become tighter with the rise in height. YMMV.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

I am not the tallest bloke and have relatively short arms. I still find the stock handlebar height too low though. Especially for standing.
For the moment I have to lean a bit forward when sitting in order to get a nice relaxed angle on my arms. That's why I was looking at moving the bars slightly back and up a bit.

But given the possible cable issues I will probably just stick to raising the bars a tad. Will be cheaper as well. :glasses10:

I really wish someone would make a guide on how to extend the cables that need extending for taller risers...
