Two *T's* in a pod ?
Well, today I watched with a tear in my eye as the TTR headed off to a new owner, for new adventures, in new lands.... :icon_cry:
I now have to clear out the stable to make way for a new stable mate for my Tenere, I have studied, thought, considered and wondered for many weeks... and since first falling for her at the Lakes meet in May lust grew inside me like a burning flame. On Wednesday, a new birth, a new steed and once more my stable will have, not a first and second bike, but just two bikes, each as good as the other in the rolls they have. On Wednesday, I pick up my Tiger 800XC (without any of that ABS rubbish). So, 6 more sleeps! :smilies0375: |
Nice one, enjoy.

Ooooo, much as I lurve my Ten that XC is one sexy little number. Quite jealous, looking forward to hearing/seeing all about her :bling:

Also looked at the Versys,, in my humble opinion it sucks donkey dik and shouldn't be allowed on the roads, god it's awful! So I looked at the 1000 Versys, and wasn't keen. The Multistrada was a firm favourite, but at nearly twice the cost of the Tiger there wasn't really any justification, and while the tiger isn't the bike the Multistrad is, it's certainly more than half the bike, so I'm happy. I always wanted to fly the British flag, but there was never the right bike,, now there is, and I can. |
... when you say you've seen Selina's, can you be more specific?

GULG good choice in bikes, ive road my uncles tiger 800, the non xc version and the engine is nice, and chassis feels nice but i just didnt get on with the front end (didnt help the front tyre was on its way out, swimmly wet and on londons greasyest m25 and some a road sections ive ever seen in my life). Not to nit pick and Selina will agree as she pointed this out was the rear pegs/hangers are welded onto the rear subframe, meaning if you drop the bike they can bend and bend the rear subframe if you bin it biggesh style, where as most adventure bikes you can remove them or at least the rear pegs and hangers bend and can be replaced without replacing the subframe!!! But as usual PICCIES when you get the bike:smilies1349: |

Went for the XC over the er,,, basic bike mainly because it give some potential, better suspension setup and more like the XT to ride, so suits the roads up here. But, the bike is firmly a road going machine. I can't imagine what Triumph were thinking when they put the oil filter behind the front wheel :tard: and there are lots of other giveaways to suggest it's *crashability* is somewhat less than the XT. If and when it gets some knobblies on it, then I'll deal with the rear hangers,, or the grinder will! |

They put a Triumph badge on it, so it can't be true:smirk: |

http://www.smokingtailpipes.com/Gallery/T-Tiger0001.JPG but I did find these bits.... don't know why they put protection rubber on the footpegs http://www.smokingtailpipes.com/Gallery/T-Rubbers.JPG and one more http://www.smokingtailpipes.com/Gallery/T-Tiger0002.JPG |
If you're half as happy as I am with mine GULG, you'll be really rather chuffed.
