Need help urgently. Front fork problem.

So now I'm stranded at uluru. About 50km from the rock my front fork decided to piss all its oil all over me. It looks like inside the top of the right fork inside the hex hole there was a bolt or plug that is now gone. Hole straight into the fork. Can anyone offer some insight into how I can fix this on the fly or a quick fix? I'm about 600km from any civilisation let alone a bike shop and don't even know where their nearest yamaha dealer is. Or is this a tow truck job?

Ok so I've soured some fork oil and a space to work on the bike. Does anyone know what the little screw the is inside the reload adjuster is and how much oil do the forks need? Finding it hard to find the info. Have it all in the workshop manual at home. Im assuming that the little screw has come loose and allowed all the oil to come out under braking and bumps. Anyone have any other ideas?

The Cap Bolt is a complete Yamaha Part, you may have to 'bodge' something up to get you back to civilisation.

As for Fork Oil, from the workshop manual ->

Front fork leg oil level (from the top of the inner tube, with the inner tube fully compressed and without the fork spring) 145.0 mm (5.70inch)

So from what I can assume it would have lost very little fork oil so if I can get a small screw to fit it it should be ok until I can get to civilisation.
Have to say that in the 7000km of this trip this is the first 'mechanical' problem. I still love this bike.

Even if you can't find a matching bolt... you can still ride that 600km without any problems as long as you don't push it. Your front end will be a bit jumpy due to the lack of damping and you might loose some more oil. But even without any oil left, you can still ride it (with caution).

Assuming you've lost the preload adjuster screw (which I think is what you describe). I'd take the fork cap off and put a bolt right up through the hole, put a washer on each side of the cap and a nut and clamp the washers together. This should I reckon should securely close off the hole?
