ipod classic

Hi guys wondeing if any of you smart chaps can help with my 6th gen 160gb Ipod classic, its fairly new and hardly used
Problem is the click wheel is "frozen" I know this is a common Ipod glitch, I have tried to reset it by holding down menu & select buttons with no joy, I have done "hard" reset 6 times and still no joy
Any further suggestion?

Have you tried 'Restoring' it via iTunes?? Try a complete factory reset - takes a while but cures a lot of problems.

done this about 6 times/updated to latest itunes/reset & updated my PC non of the above makes any difference. Only bought this Ipod in feb this year, been onto apple website and have been quoted 28 for "advice" FFS! seems the concept of a warranty escapes these crap software producing geeky leeches!

If they have the same warranty as the iPhone 4 all you have to do is book a repair online and send it in or take it to the nearest apple store and they replace it for free.

yeah I have been on to apple now, they wanted 28 for advice!!!!! that advice is availible for free all over the internet. they eventually agreed with 254 days left of my hardware warranty I could get a replacement, because 200+ gadgets eventoday shouldn't be a throwaway item

I had the same problem, i solved it by leaving it on to drain the battery and leaving for three days, switched it back on and Hey Presto, sheer luck?
