The rectifier is behind a lump of steel ... why would you want to protect the steel ?

While on the subject of great touratech gear with great value, I suggest making one of THESE as well :D

Anyway, I think most of the problems relating to the regulator rectifier comes from the plug itself, and not the casing getting hit

wow a horn button protector, I never ever dreamed of such luxury, sadly my horn (the one on the bike too) only gets used once a year for its MOT, so maybe this is really a gadget to far

i want to make a guard because
A) i like making stuff
B) to tart it up
c)to make it higher than the steel plate that protects the unit, thus protecting the plug as well....

....which i cant seem to undo, seems solid!:fight:

Are you giving the tab on the back of the plug a good squeeze? The whole thing needs a firm pull to remove it.

Fair enough. I made an extension from an old bait tub lid and some carbon fibre sheet, keeps the crap from the rectifier plug. I also moved the horn in behind the rectified.
