Twin Stacks

Well i've been and spoken with one Geoff Madden, gentleman exhaust fabricator and the guy who (used to) supply Carbon Can Company their exhausts, and hopefully by next weekend I'll be able to post pics of my custom system.

As far as I'm aware no one has done a twin stack set on an XTX before, least no pictures, and I'll be interested to see how it works. The system will still effectively be 2 1 into 1's.

Will post pics once done.

sounds interesting, look forward to seeing it!

im assuming when you mean twin stacks you mean that one side has two cans one above each other and the other side has no thing?

If so never seen it before myself and ive been on here for a good 4 year:tongue5:

Piccies when you get it done

Yup that is exactly how I mean Maxwell, they will be in polished stainless, removable DB killer. 1 week countdown!

I'll post plenty of pics once done :)

Hey guys, well i've had the prototype fitted, and am in the process of conducting a test run on them-i'll post a couple of pics tomorrow, however they have yet to get the final polish and finish to them. They are road legal and with DB killers, yet are effectively a straight through- the noise is loud and very throaty- more with the pics tomorrow.... :)

Teaser pics ;)

Well as promised, here's the first pic of the new exhaust, i'd like to add this is still classed as the prototype, there needs to be polishing and if there were any changes necessary to the link pipe routing.

Ooooohhh..... That looks nice!!! A bit Streetfighter-esque!
What kind of money are we talking? Any heat issues? Would this make the XT pillion-unfriendly??

coffeebaron 04-06-12 16:41

Altogether that cost under 400 fitted, I'd be happy to put you in touch with the fabricator, he has a facebook page, and did have a website, however that is currently down. No heat issues as the cans are insulated, and as for pillions my partner rides every day for 50 miles+ and she thinks it is no different to standard for comfort.

I'll post a full review and better pics once the final touches are done in about a week :)

Looks evil....in a good way!

coffeebaron 06-06-12 08:59

Cheers Tom, notice your in Preston, I work there, so may run into you one day! I'll be posting a small clip of the bike running, get an idea of noise (doesn't do it justice as it's only low quality phone) and more pics once polished up and finished :)
