Who's got the wildest XTR

As you proberbly know from My im back post ive just got my 5th XTR this time ive bought an older one that I wont get all arsey if it gets covered in mud like I do when they are brand new!!
Ive bought a 56 plate one with 15K miles so its in no way mint albeit ive resprayed the engine and all the ancillary bits to make it look presentable

As its not a fortunes worth im looking to try to make it a bit of an offroad weapon:rofl[1]: LOL removing all un-wanted crap and making it look a bit more determined without losing the ability to travel to the byways etc without needing to have the seat sergically removed from my butt

I know its not a KTM or Wr450 ive had them and dont need that much of a hardcore bike any suggesgions or piccies

Its now 10% less of a pig..
XTR really need a shock & a set of USD forks..
They do go ok for what they are & what there intended
use is..
I"m building a enduro side car for it at the moment.

i wouldnt really want to do too much to the bike but if i had a XTR again and wanted to change it into an off road weapon i would

completely change the front forks for something from for eg a KTM

big round head light with frame/protector around it

change the rear shock to an adustable type unit

get a two into 1 and can

high level bash plate, stg1 air filter, remove snorkel and get kev fuel mod

If your looking to spend more monies or big monies chance the rear or both wheels for custom made light weight but stron wheels (if you changed the forks more than likely you would have to take the donor forks front wheel too)

Part from that get it done, get the piccies up and get her dirty

Not for off road but is one of the wildest XTR's I have seen.

Do you have any pics from a resorayed engine. Mine is also looking bad. I think previous owner sprayed it with coolant.

I don't know how far i'll go into transformation to a off road beast before i buy one, but so far i'am happy.

How did you get this much clearance in the back? Did you raise it somehow?
I have 2-1 exhaust system from Akrapovic/OTR, and it doesn't seem like I have that much back free clearance.
