Cheer's guy's,the bike was featured in issue 5 Practical Sports front page spread with 6 pages inside documenting the resto of the bike.
Crazy stuff happened that day. The photo was taken by Weeble (Mark Manning)photographer the bike was being ridden by Chris Newbigging(Features Editor )I was driving the V,W Golf Hatchback with Weeble in the boot. The hatch was jammed open with a tripod stand !!And we were driving over the Forth Road Bridge. Cruise control was set Weeble was hanging out the back arm out stretched ,camera inches from the tarmac and Chris was trading paint with the Golf....madness,just one of nearly 300 shots taken that day,if now't else it was an absolute blast and you can't beat seeing your bike in print for a national mag at the local newsagents. |
Hi and welcome to the forum
Nice bike:happy7: |
Well already have a road bike so i changed my mind and bought a XT660.... R instead of the X.
Here's a picture of the bike in question. http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...6/P1060688.jpg Quick question for you lot,it has a K,N,filter in the air box but the snorkel is still in place .Should i remove the snorkel? Still learning in here,so much info ,cheers Ian. |
Yes removing the snorkel will increase your air intake i.e. more performance.
Read the list of mods as from my signature lines and find out about "Snorkel Removal" |
Nice bike mate
Youve a couple of oppositions and it really depends on if your going to be doing any form of off roading. The snorkel stops any water getting in and allow the bike to be used in hi level water but most people never get up that hi, but it also keeps a good bit of dust out of the filter too. However if you do remove it youd be best getting a fuel mod, cheaper option (but still works) is kevs fuel mod or a PC 3/4/5 (cost a far bit and normally requires dyno time too). But to get a bit torque increase get a stg 2 filter:eusa_clap: very well made and does make a massive difference in torque and free revving of the engine |
Decision's decision's.....thanks guy's.
