Swingarm removal

Hi community,
I have to remove my swingarm in order to grease the bearings and fitting a new chain and sprocket set. But unfortunately I could not manage to even move the axle just a bit. It did rotate, but we couldn't get it out. It didn't move! Any help is appriciated.

Regards
Marcus

i just did a swingarm swap its here with photos and descriptions http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=18703&page=3...in the thread it shows you the tool i used, if yours is stuck or stiff spray it with penetrating fluid from both side as it sounds like the shaft has rust on it, if you have an air or electric impact, take the nut off and use the impact to rotate the shaft in place and keep adding the fluid an then you should be able to get it out

you do know that you don't have to take the swingarm off to a chain and sprocket swap?

Hi Frido!

bist du am fremdgehen? :eusa_hand:

As Paul allready mentioned, sometimes you have to "convince" the axle, specially if there's rust involved.
WD 40 will help.

salu2,
Joe

I know. But I have 54000 ks on it and I thought greasing the swingarm bearings might be a good idea:).

@Inkajoe: Man mu sich alle Optionen offen halten. Auerdem ist die Atmosphre (Umgang) etwas angenehmer als wo anders.
