End Can

Hi all
Don't know if this has been said before but will ask anyway. If you can get a link pipe made by someone does this mean I could get any single can and then get the link pipe made to fit it ie a road can or something cheap off fleabay.

Where there's a will there's a way - generally you can make anything fit with a bit of ingenuity. Give it a go and show us the results...

Yep, easily done!
mine has a produro laser jobbie, it came off a klr 650. these units are stainless, quiet, tuff as old boots- well it needs to be!.
anyhow they come up on ebay from time to time, the link pipe is a tenere/ tengai hybrid actually jmo supplied the tenere bit as i wanted to retain the standard yamaha system for when i sell up.

Do you need to remap the bike or can you just bang on a single can and off you go, as I think if you need to map the bike or fit a pc it's not worth all the extra money for the little gain. Just my view on this thats not worth much.

No. But you could if you wanted to make the most of any changes.

I made a link pipe up for 50mm silencers and it worked fine. Interestingly mine actually managed to follow the lines of the bike, yet other manufactured ones didn't.
I never bothered mapping.
I took it off after a while as the silencer wasn't particularly silent and annoyed me.
