Funny that. I find the exact opposite - my fuel economy gets better in the colder winter weather and decreases in the summer. I've always assumed that it's because I ride a bit harder in the better weather.

My riding is more or less the same as its in and out of work on the north circular A40 and M40 and as I do shift work I'm often going in when its well into the minus degrees so I'm assuming the injection is richening the intake to suit.

mine started flashing last night and i panicked and filled up! i did 5.5 miles with it flashing but then still only got 18.4 litres in it, so with a 23 litre tank i still had loads left, that tank (2nd tank from new, still running in below 4k) was nearly 260 miles which is 62mpg give or take, my rgv250 used to do 60 miles to a tank......

Today i decided to run it dry (again)

The F came on after 357,7km and did 137,3 on reserve for a total of 495km.

I put 0,5liter on and refilled with 24,5 liter 5km later.

At 20-25km/l 5km would consume less than 1/4 liter - Total usable tank capacity with filled neck is ~24,75liter

The original topbox holds easily two 5 liters spare tanks . I use about 3-4 liters to more the lawn

Best I ever got out of a tank including f trip was 555.6 ks.I was well impressed.

I used to get 250 every time before f-trip came on.

Then over time the bike settled into about 200-210 miles befofe f-trip.

No i have fitted the following:-

Stage 1 and 2 DNA
Kev fuel 7 o2 mod
De-catted OEM pipe

I am still getting 200 beofre f-trip.

Is this normal?

Mike

Similar to what I get, only I have the PC-v and MTC.

I did notice a slight improvement when I fitted the O2 tuner, maybe 10 or 20 miles a tank.

Denser fuel in the winter too

Hmmm. My bike always gets better fuel consumption in warmer weather (around the low 30s C). In cold weather it gets noticeably worse. Bike's engine systems are completely stock. Fuel tank filler neck is also stock.
