Error code 12 after adjusting valve clearance

Hi

I'm getting error code 12 (one long and two short flashes) after adjusting valve clearance. Repair manual says "crankshaft position sensor". I think i made everything right when i checking my clearance I'm not a mechanic... so guys what do you think where i phuked up and where to look?

As the crank position sensor is the buried out the way, you are unlikely to have done anything untoward to it. It is more likely you have disturbed its wiring to the ECU in the loom while doing the valves or removing/refitting the tank - dislodged a connector, trapped or crushed a wire, forgotten to reconnect something etc? I'd pop the tank off and check everything is in order visually, then systematically perform continuity tests.

Thnx for pointing that out, i take tank off, check all connections, refit very carefully all back together and the flashing lights are still there - but then i push starter button and she fires up and error flashing is gone.

Have you checked the crank position sensor's resistance?

Split the connector and check the resistance on the CKP sensor side. It should be 192-288 ohms.

Otherwise (if you're sure the wiring is all good) you'll have to remove the left hand engine cover and alternator stator to access the CKP sensor and check it hasn't physically broken, come loose or been fouled up.
