       recommendation for sprocket

I saw many words about this, and now i'm confused... i just want to know...
What is the recommendation, from experts like you,for rear and front sprockets(How many tooth?-bike ride 80 % enduro).? I mounted 14 on the front and 46 on the rear.I have a feeling that 14-45 is better for offroading.Should i put 47 or 48 on the rear,to get back some low rpm power... maybe 13 on the front sprocket...What is the best ratio by your opinion? |

You can do the maths yourself:

I have a 15/47 combination that suits me fine (most on tarmac + the daily dirt road short cut + occasional off-road tour) |

       +1 for 15/47.
A lot less of a struggle against head winds plus short shifting from the lights is a right giggle. Roll on acceleration from 5000 rpm is greatly improved and still get 60+mpg. Been thrashing my Ten a fair bit the last couple of weeks on M25/A3 (5500rpm) and still achieved 230 miles before reserve a number of times. Although it may be easier to change the front sprocket I'd recommend changing just the rear as a larger sprocket helps spread the load on the chain. |

I use standard rear and less one tooth front, makes for good off road and road.
