Rev counter.
Hi all, (and please repost this if it is in the wrong place of course),
I was wondering if anyone has fitted a rev counter to an XT660X??? I am not used to having a bike without so if it not too expensive I would like to fit one so help please!!!! The only mention I have found is the DynoJet Power Commander one which looks wonderful BUT I dont have a PC fitted to mine so I guess that I cannot use it??? Thanks in advance for all tips and help, Simon |
I fitted one of these last week:

Unit is made by Koso in Taiwan. Their website is very useful & they emailed me technical specification in 12 hours in very good English!!!! Fit the gauge to homemade bracket to handlebar. Run wire down to spark plug. Wrap wire around HT lead & secure with cable tie. Couldn't be easier...... |
Digital tachometers are inherently extremely difficult to read at a glance, you'd be much better off with an analogue one if you intend to use it to aid gear changes etc. If you just want a tacho for setting up the engine, then digital is fine. I've used these before on Brit Bikes and specials-
