Fitting Off-The-Road LED Tail Mod?
Hi
I bought this http://www.off-the-road.de/XT-660/Bo...od-XT-660.html but the instructions are all in german, anyone got any help on fitting? English and German instructions were supplied for the other items i bought at the same time which leads me to believe they might have english instructions but forgot to put them in, however i e-mailed them and got no response. If anyone has bought this and got english instructions with it id love to see it. Any help appreciated cheers |
if you have plenty of time on your hands you could translate the german instructions using
http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Is there no way of asking them to send or email you the instructions in English. After all, you've just spent a fortune with them.

I just fitted the tenere version of this, all the instructions were in german as well wtf? and ****ty photos ,one thing i,d say is make sure all the bits are there before you start as i had the licence plate holder and other bits missing from mine, which considering it was 199 euros to buy is a f**king joke. if you get stuck pm me.

This company is not working serious lately, and they are not reliable.
I know for a few orders, that were not delivered as it should. One of my friends made order for few things in december and he still did not receive the goods, and they did not gave him any explantion or warning for the delay. He contacted them after weeks, and answer was, that they dont have some goods on stock, and they are waiting to me manufactured. Ok, but they should give explanation when you place an order. Or give info on webshop, that goods are not available imediately and what is delivery time. I bought front sprocket, that did not fit on the axle, and I had to grind it to make it fit. It was some low quality taiwan product. I am not completely sure about this, but another friend ordered Ohlins progressive springs, and I think he received regular linear springs. The spring looked just the same. And it was not more compressed spiral on one end. When he asked them what happened, they said that the difference is in material, and that he received progressive springs. Does anybody know how the progressive spring from ohlins looks like? So we can be sure what is true and wrong. I do not want to make false statements. I know Hyperpro and wilbers do have big difference in the look. On the picture: -upper spring is progressive -lower one is linear Is there the same diference in look at ohlins ones? http://shrani.si/f/10/w3/4tBJBhvM/fedri.jpg |

Re. translations,
there are plenty of multilingual members here. It should not be a problem to get some instructions translated. Does not take away from the fact that if you sell goods to England the instructions should be in in English too. Rob |

just no english for the led rear light/tail tidy i did email the addy on their site but got no response cheers for replies |

one thing i have noticed is that the hole in the undertray for the number plate light is much too large, you can easily pass the light through it. i will have to seal it into the hole or make a bracket or something |
I can do german - english translations. Let me know if you need help.
Cheers. |
Google translate...everyone's friend :thumbsup[1]:

|
I just bought this online now and only seen this after........DOH! Forde how many days did it take to ship? And had you any look fitting it? Luckily I bought all the bits required tho. I was really looking forward to getting this onto the bike, but I'm not so sure now
|
i was a cheapskate and bought this instead:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1508539960...84.m1439.l2649 not 100% sure on the fitting yet, but i'll post up pics when it arrives and goes on! |
Will this be road legal with the indicators built in?
Would it pass an MOT? |
Depends on the tester but usually not legal. Indicators are a funny one, if u have none on ur bike then they aren't tested.... Weird like I said.
sent from a mobile so probably riddled with spelling errors; ) |

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks terribly expensive though...... PS: how was service/delivery??? |
Yeah man, it was pretty expensive but it is pretty classy. I think delivery was in the region of 14-20. I live in Ireland tho so I dunno if it makes a huge difference

180 euros for that and no instructions in english seems a lot for a piece of plastic...i bought mine from supercheap auto in australia easy to fit but i cut alot of plastic off light just make it fit how i wanted. easy to wire in 3 wires which you can't get wrong.
