Fitting XTX wheels on a XTR? Possible?
 

I tried searching some both on google and here on XT660.com but i havent been able to find anything.

Is it possible to fit wheels from a XT660X -08 to a XT660R -08? If not bolt on, what diffrenences are there? Are there any quick mods that might fix it?

Yes it is and not as hard as people think, the back fits straight on and you will need to fit the front brake disc from your R onto the X wheels, think that was it, dont go messing about with offsets on the front because if you measure them before fitting the X wheels you will notice that they are slightly different anyway

i'm looking for a 17" front wheel..
I run shinko 705s they work well on the seal
so can't see the point in a rear wheel...
17" front with a Shinko 120/17 705 on it..
then a quick wheel change for long seal trips
still work on gravel...

I have got a 18"..wondering about useing that
would need a carryer turned up for the disc...
Not looked at to hard as it's a gold rim..
silver rear & gold front... look a bit out of place...

We have a XTR in brisbane running it's 18" rear rim on the front.
