That's not a good price and as for chain wax, I hope it's not Castol Chain Wax. All that stuff is good for is attracting dirt to your chain and it also makes a mess of your rear wheel.

Cheaper than i paid though

Maybe a teeny bit more than other places but so worth a visit if you're up this way! 0161 928 3268 ask for Mark or Brian.

Thats a good price for a ride in service. No hassle either.

sounds like a good price to me, ordering them off of busters costs 140 in'c delivery but then you got the messing about of getting wheels off and karting them down to local tyre fitter

getting mine changed in a couple of weeks just got a qoute of 167.00 for the pair........ride in/out

Michelin

I've just ordered the michelin pilot power 2ct for my xtx's rear, any experience of them anyone?
I hope they're not too bad... You all seem to have fallen in love with the distanzia's! :love2:
Well, at least the michelin should last longer than the original dragons, 210 km and not even close to legal, they are really worn out already.
They cost me approx.. 300 USD delivered to the door but not fitted.

well I personally have no experience with the Michelin's I am one of those who have fallen in love with the Distanzia's and as you can see quite a few of us have, and it is for a reason, they deliver the best grip for the X's and last longer than the rest.

Before the Distanzia I had 3 sets of Maxxis Intermediate but while they are slighlty grippier than the Distanzia, you must run them at very low pressure otherwise the front tyre would wobble at over 80mph and they wear out too quick. But on the road and in the wet they perform very well.

Good luck with your choice of tyre and please enter your details in this thread to record the performance and life you will get out of them

I had a Michelin Pilot Sport on the rear of my X and I hated it. It would slide far to easily, it squared off badly so I opted for the Avon Distanzias front and rear as well. You can put me in the "love Distanzia group" as well. My new XTX has the Pirelli's on them and I can assure you as soon as they are worn out a full set of A.D's are going on.

I'm a fan of Michelin Pilot Power. I used them on my CBR and they are good for street and track (unless you do it profesionally). I shall soon order a pair 'cause when I'm done with the breakin' in, I want to test the XTX on the track ;)
(a friend of mine, who likes to do wheelies all the time, said it is the only tyre he could do wheelies with on wet)

I've got Distanzia tyres as well and paid 145 fitted and balanced.

I must add that my mechanical friend did all the work for me and made no profit. He's a brilliant mate and really likes looking after my bike. I get the "special treatment" on condition I give him good PR.
