Has anybody experience of the original Anakee AND the Anakee 2?

I've used the Anakee in the past and found it to be good on tarmac in the dry or wet - is the 2 a step backwards? From GULG's experience it seems so and yet by the look of it I would have guessed that it would have shed water far better.
I used it off road too - ok on gravel but obviosly no use on the soft stuff.

Hi to all!
I've used Anakee 2 on my tnr, one pair for 16.000 km and more: very good on dry, great on wet and rain tarmac, used only on-road!

*** Update ***

OK, after nearly 1000 miles with the Anakees, I have an update.

They are off the bike and have been replaced with TKC's.... :smilies0211:

I've seriously fell out of favour with these tyres. The final straw was needing a push to get off a campsite yesterday!

So, here are a pair of nearly new Anakee 2's, with less than 1000miles on them...... I'll eBay them, or I'm open to offers....

I ran Anakees for years on Varaderos x 4. 6000 miles per rear. Excellent road manners wet or dry and reasonable on a graded forestry track.
