exhaust new cans or 2in1
What do you guys reckon 2 into 1 or new cans? Have 2010 xtr doesn't do any serious off road would like to save a bit of weight on the bike. Heard a few problems with heat on the 2 into 1 systems. Some realy nice after market cans around to suit stock system. Will also fit sump guard and centre stand so need some advice on systems that are available and look good.

I've got an XTX with MTC pipes in black, they look the b***ocks on most bikes i've seen them on, theyre cheap enough, and you get top class service from the guys there - PM CaptMoto for details as i think you can get 10% disy as a forum member - dont quote me on that though ;)

I got the previous discounted CCC and Captmoto will only allow the best quality for his forum members and ive heard that the MTC cans are of great quality. Also with the discount i think they are the cheapest set of cans you can buy. |
new cans
What do you guys think of the 2 into 1 systems for the xt?

personally prefer the twin cans on the XTX, single can on the ten looks the business though....guess its all personal preference!

Comparison
Pros The 2into1 has good ground clearance, great weight savings. Cons Runs very hot by your legs, has less HP mid / max revs but has more torque bottom / mid range rpms than a 2into2. Better suited for slow riding off road. Pros The 2into2 has around 3kgs more weight than the 2into1, has better exhaust gas flow, produced more HP from the mid range to max RPM. Removes around 7kgs compared to a standard set of cans Cons Not many just 3kgs more weight than a 2into1. :bienvenido: |
new cans

No problem.

They(MM) could save a lot more weight by changing the can, might OK for crossing Africa, but for the rest of us light weight it ain't.

Just fitted the metal mule system and can't really notice any heat whilst I'm on the bike.
It does get hot though. |
