Windscreen
Went for my first longish ride on the Ten today. All good except the windscreen directs the wind directly into my face. What have you used to tackle this: extender? Taller screen? Removed screen altogether? What has worked for you? Extenders and new screens ain't cheap! Cheers.

GIVI screen +10 cm and on to this clipped Touratech extension for additional +14 cm did the trick.

I am 1.91 m. and I just fitted the touratech clip on spoiler , works great for me
not cheap , but seems to work fine , |
I am somewhat 195 cm.
At first I bought a GIVI screen which improved the issue, but not solved it yet. Then I ordered Touratech Clip-on too, and as a consequence I stopped thinking of a buffeting issue. Just forgot that it ever existed.:chevil Now I am thinking just what to do to improve seat comfort. |
Just a word of caution. I bought the skidmarx tall screen +8cm. It was even worse. Im 182cm. I started wearing ear plugs with the stock screen and no real prob now.

Id go for the taller screen, from MetalMule
http://www.metalmule.com/general-acc...-screen-clear/ (comes in a tint too) as I find the OE screen way too short, too much-wind blast, and with the taller option, its much more rider friendly :115:
Ive kept away from the TT extension as it seems just rather pointless, and too pricy anyway :toothy5: |
I think a UK company clled Skidmarx or something do a taller screen for under 50.
