fuel mixture

Hi guys/girls,ok so my new xtx is now run in and had its first service, ive ordered bigger headers, mivv cans, modded airbox side, dna filter.Ive not got a power commander yet so my question is will it run too lean with the pipes and new filters fitted and damage the piston, valves ect.Sould i leave the airbox mods until i can run a map to richen up the mixture.Help :-) Oh and what is the 2010 sensor mod ive seen mentioned please.

yes of course you will need to increase the fuel mixture but you are limited without a fuelling device, you've got two options Kev mod or Power Commander.

PM Kev for a quote on the Kev Mod or PM me for a quote on the PC

With those mods I would fit a Power Commander, you can download free Power Commander maps in the ASK KEV supporters section.

On the XT the only difference between a PCV & PCIII is the PCV has an extra tunning zone at 15% throttle otherwise they have the same functions when fitted to an XT660. For other bikes the PCV comes with many more funtions but we dont use them on our XT's so I have not mentioned them.

An Auto tune is a sepearate tuning device & is an additional cost to a Power Commander, great tool if you have the funds.

Or join the SUPPORTERS section (for 10 POUNDS a year) on the forum & you can download a fuel map that is close to your setup, I have 50 different version maps for 99% of XT mods in the ASK KEV section.

Don't worry that is what we are here for. Keep asking.
