Decals - off and on?
 

Hi all, I'm looking to take the decals off my 06 XT, but has anyone tried to put them back on again, either for resale or, in my case, to reposition the small XTx decal towards the bottom of the fairing?
I usually use a hairdryer to get decals off and I'll obviously be careful but if the things fall apart as soon as I start to peel them off there's no going back apart from a new set.

Once they are off, they'll probably lose the stickiness and you'll find that if you want to buy them back they cost more than the panels, fact!

and they will stretch so even if they did keep their stickyness they will look warped.

OK, thanks guys. I'll take the decals off anyway and probably just leave the XTx sticker. How much is a decal set just in case?

Aint it funny how the smallest things can cost so much!!

Specially when you compare it to the cost of a tank panel set at about �11.00, silly isn't it?

Yeh, I agree, but I've left the smaller XTx sticker on.

This is something i've thought about for ages & still cant make my mind up. If I dont like it I dont want to fork out bucks on new stickers, and my wife keeps telling me not to.

Got my stickers today thanks Cap, all I've got to do now is to decide on where to put them - where's everyone else attached them?

Cant complain though as he caught plenty of sea bass which went down a treat on the BBQ :D

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on some Yamaha tuning fork stickers? My originals have been peeling since day one and I think the tuning fork ones look really nice.

Just asked the same company for a price on printing up some of the XTX decals. Will post their reply if anyone is interested.

What size is the tuning fork sticker as that's about the right size?

10" I opted for the silver (which is silver/grey), also had white but on the grey it was too strong, be ok on red or blue I guess.

I just took the decals off my bike. Looks much better. I have the blue XT660x.
