Flashing Fuel guage

Guys, I know that the "empty" flashing fuel gauge means fillup!, But got my bike back today from a crash repair ( @ Yamaha) and the fuelgauge is flasing with all the bars full.. Could it be a faulty fuelguage ? electical ? anyone know where I can look... ? Else I will need to ake her back to the dealer..

I *think* it does that when it determines there is a problem with the sensor readings. A couple of flashes - short pause - more flashes?

I'd check that the plugs at the bottom of the tank are connected correctly. But that's just guessing really...

Checked it again, there is no sequence.. It just keep on flashing without any pauses, so I looked at the manual and found a interessting paragraph...

Deus ex machina?

Have you checked to see if the flashes aren't actually morse code. God in the Machine perhaps trying to say something?

(such as "dealer doesn't know what he is doing"

or

"I have a have an earth in the fuel tank"

or

"faulty sender unit in the metering")
