Spare wiring??
 

Hi All, I've just bought a 660r and i've found under the seat near the left side grab handle 2 wiring connections that are capped off , could anyone tell me what they are for,I'm sure it looks to be standard not modified. ps brilliant forum

Welcome mate nice to see some one else from Brisbane.

The plug is for a alarm, there is a 10AMP + supply, a neg - & the other wires go to the indicators to flash when the alarm is activated. You can use this power supply to power up your GPS, heated grips ETC.

Hi, First Post! Just got a XT R , great bike!

The wiring under the seat for the alarm, is it powered by the iginition switch or is it always live, just need somewhere to connect heated grips and GPS but want them switched by the ignition.

BTW was in Brisbane last year for the postiebike, hope you are all doing okay there with the crazy weather.
