Official 2011 pre season mods thread

So, what's up for you guys that, like me, are facing winter right know?

I've just ordered a HEL braided line for the front brake which will be installed together with Kevs front fork spacers. I've laid my eyes on a front fender from OTR that I just might order.

A tail tidy perhaps...

I just bought Alpos alu panniers.
I just have to play with them to make it fit on racks.
Next is home made bash plate.

Painting my silver lower front forks satin black. Need to wait for temp to rise before that though (spring/summer job).

Possibly removing my bash plate and sell it, not much use for a road biased bike.

Ride the bike as much as I can!

uprate the suspension, tail tidy, fit the tall screen which I'm waiting to be delivered, stainless brake lines, buy some pannier rails so I can actually fit the panniers I bought.

Thinking of uprating rear spring to a hyperpro one and riding it more

mrfijjitt 23-12-10 21:01

Things I'd like to do.
Buy some plastics and paint them, not sure, got a couple of ideas.
Get some decent exhausts!
Tidy the rear.

Things that are immenent.
Buy an ECU, so I can fit the 05 loom and PCV I've got.
New front tyre, Distanzia.
Wash it?

And a Snow Plough for the front.

Chopper 24-12-10 09:36

wash it, and im sure it needs a service as i havent done one since i owned it!

theres a list of things that need doing (mainly cosmetic) but they wont get done until spring when im back on the pushbike and its not getting used every day.

And a snow plough would be a cracker of an idea! its been mad riding in the last few weeks, but without doubt if your gonna ride on ice and snow, the XT is probably one of the better bikes to do it on! a few times the front and back have started to go and a quick dab with one of my legs trues it back up again!

Finished testing my new O2 mod, been 3 months riding around completely standard with adding different combinations of mods building different fuel maps to go with the O2 mod. I want to refit all my original mods back on again this weekend, I miss that extra HP/torque from the stage 3 air box etc.

Also looking at doing a hypro rear spring to match my front ones.

Fitted an EBC rear disc an pads in the summer think I'll follow up with a front this year comming.
