Mitas E8 140/80 17"
Just finished fitting new MITAS E08 tyres FROM TRELLBORG
http://www.trelleborgtyres.co.uk/category_Trail_1.htm . To all those that ask will a 140 fit the rear wheel the answer is yes. If you look closely at the last photo you will notice that the bike is resting on the rear swinging arm after I used the side stand to break the bead on the rear tyre and the main stand slowly came off. If you think that getting the bike onto the main stand is hard then you want to try it with out the back wheel, that is VERY HARD.

Nice wheels....... looks very fat.
Can you tell me the brand of the tyres and the exact size ? |

I could be wrong, but I'm going to hazard a really wild guess that it's a Mitas E-08 in a 140/80/17 fitment. I'm not sure what it is that makes me think that :D |

My front E-08 still looks like yours Ricky yet it has done 1000 miles. No problems with grip though!!
|
I used 2 E-08 back tires which lasted 15000 and 18000 km's and one front which lasted 30000km. Grip in dry is good, in wet it is moderate to bad.

Uncle Ricky -how much clearance have you got between the tyre and the chain guard with the 140?
