I must be missing a big point here
What would be the benefit of such a device? Fairly new to these bikes and I am not being cheeky here but can't a skillfully applied clutch hand do the same job with a standard clutch? Just interested. Al. |
that's neat...

A slipper clutch is a great tool & makes a big difference to a single or V twin motor. I last fitted one to my mates KTM big bore stroker motor that I built for him.
It offers less drag on the motor when the throttle is shut off so would benefit the XT from cutting out at low RPMs, it stops the rear wheel bouncing under sudden braking, allows for better drifting. Allows the motor quicker pick up when the throttle is closed then opened again. A slipper clutch only works if you ride your bike hard otherwise you are waisting your money. |
