Scorpion EXO 1000 Air

Just bought one, and I'm really happy with it........Fantasic quality, loads of great features, super quiet, looks and feels great, and managed to get it at a great price too

:woo:

I really like the sound of these. I'm yet to try one on, but wondered whether anyone else has tried one?????

Never tried one but can understand why it would be a good design as your cheek pads are always pumped to a perfect fit/feel of the rider.

Ive thought about getting a helmet of this kind but the cost over an ordinary helmet is alot. Ok it has alot of advantages over your ordinary helmet but at near twice the price i would have to own it for twice as long. For me thats 4 years and around 40-50k miles with one lid. Think it would probably be too abused then to work fully.

Yea it should make a better seal on your face and reduce the air noise. Doesnt really effect me as i normally use ear plugs.

They're only about the same price as a mid range Shoei or Arai.

I was gonna get a XR1100 until I saw these, but think I'll wait the BMF now and see what deals are about.

If you never tried one I serious suggest you do . a great looking helmet with lots of extra features. The air pump is just fantastic.

Before the onset of winter I was very keen on getting the mx version VX-24 but couldn't find a stockist locally. Even though they do a winter kit for it (at least in the USA/Canada) I opted for a cheaper-than-Arai-and-Shoei dual sport helmet (Airoh S4 - which has much greater peripheral vision than my Caberg Justissimo flip-up).
Come the spring/summer I may look again at the VX range - I hate ear plugs and being totally cut off from an important life/engine/mechanical saving sense (hearing!!!!) but the air fit system sounds like a great half way measure for noise reduction.
