Early Sunday Morning....... July 2010

Yesterday morning (Sunday), I awoke early, very early and decided to make the most of the dry-ish weather.

So before the Mountain Bikers had chosen thier lycra for the day, and while the walkers were still tucked up in bed I headed out.

Took the road south into Keswick and down my favourite valley, Borrowdale, and over Honister pass. Coming down into Buttermere the light was fantasic, even in the rain and sunshine:

Buttermere looked fantastic, and the photoes just don't do it justice,

But the rainbows just kept coming,,

Once in Buttermere I took a righ turn and headed up the Longland Valley, it has been a long time since I rode this road, but it has lost none of it's sparkle, even in the worst rain for hours.....

and they say there is a drought!

But still the Racing Gold of the Tenere looked very well, and even mother nature saw fit to crown it...

After this I took a left and over Whinlatter Pass. This is a pass I avoid due to the number of MTB'rs, Walkers and Families 'Going Ape'. It was quiet, tranquil and I enjoyed it so much I forget I had the camera..... never mind, maybe next time?

Had a great ride out and was home in time for breakfast....

Great pics - why can't we all just get along. Soon it'll be necessary to do any greenlaning/mountain roads at night to avoid the haterz.
