New XT owner in Slaapstad.
Hi guys,
thought I'd also pop in here and say howzit, pics of my 2005 XTR which I've just got. Been messaging with Kev to try and resolve the slight surging issue without spending another 10 grand on all the hop up bits.. http://www.slotcars.co.za/bike/thumper.jpg Bike's a late 2005 model, has 15 000 Km's on the clock. Made my own orangle light protector I've made my own higher screen mod onto the stock Yamaha raised screen Fitted Hand Guards Fitted Wider Offroad Pegs Fitted taller bar raisers bought replacement plastics to preserve originals, and sprayed them Matt Black with my own decal design That's it.. pretty stock really.. Busy now trying to cobble a Kev air temp mod together to try help remove the surge. Almost got it all gone, but it's still there at low speed\revs, a little dissapointing, but otherwise, fun bike in comparison to my Vstrom. http://www.slotcars.co.za/bike/thumpernose.jpg Cheers for now. regards Al |

Hi Johnno,
I've got used to a high screen where I can ride with the helmet open and not get hit by the wind. When I got the bike, although it has the "High" screen on, I was still in the windstream, so, had to do a pooratech farkle to stop the wind. If I sit on the bike, I look over the top of the screen, so, to me it's not that high.. cheers Al |
Nice one Al, this is a great site, im sure you will enjoy....
