I hated the original tyres on my Tenere so opted for Avon Distanzias and they were alot better on the road. Most certainly road biased and predictable.

Tony... next bike? When? Which one?

Although i use an R ive used the Avon Dis's before and found them to be very good in any weather including the rain. Ive also had the same problem with lack of feeling from part worn Metz Tourances but i just slow the pace down, it works for me.

Bridgestone do BT45's which are a completely road basis tyre (ie minmum tread) i think a couple of people have tried these before.

99.9% certain its going to be a 2008/2009 Scooby Blue XTX. Just not sure if I should trade/sell my car (Fiat Panda 100hp) against the bike. I cannot have both as one will never get used so its one or the other.

Is the for sale section (bric a brac) allowed to be used for swaps or is that against rules as I currently dont have supporter status? If I get another XT then I will be rejoining the supporter scheme.

I can definately recommend the Avon Dis's as good road tyres. And, from some of the above pictures they dont look out of place on the Ten!

I'm booked in for BT45s to be fitted on Saturday. Thanks for all the input.
