What color rim stickers??

So, time to pimp my ride for the summer. Thinking of some rim stickers, forund cheap on Fee-Bay and from what I can read, people are satisfied with them.

But, what color to choose? Matter of taste of course but I thought a poll would come handy to see where you stand. I have narrowed it down to a few as I still want kind of a clean look.

You should get some black ones.

Perhaps I didn't express it clearly enough but I'm thinking of the rim tape stickers that follow the whole rim around. I guess there are black ones too but I don't get how they will make any difference?

best regards
Joel

1. We know you were.. but obviously think they look rubbish
2. He thinks they look rubbish too which is why he said black ;)

We're being playful :)

Point taken :SpinHappy_15XK8L:

i didn't get the sarcasm as there is a "skip it"-choice...

weeksy 24-06-10 16:23

Due to the colour of bike, i'd say None.

The black looks sweet mate.

Thank you Mr Weeksy for pointing out my sarcasm! I'll try to be less subtle in future... :p

Thanks for your input so far. Talked to my wife, who is working in graphic design, and she said black as well. And she's the law... :004:

By all means, don't be. I love sarcasm, but sometimes it's hard to get it in writing.

Some bikes look great with rim tape (I alwasy have a little snigger at that :o), some look plain daft!

My bike for instance (knobblies, industial bash plate, war wounds), would look stupid with rim tape, but a nice clean, shiney X can look great.

Just like a shiney X with knobblies wouldn't look right - IMO.

I am pretty certain that you will have some degree of difficulty getting the rim tape to stick to your rims on the R. The finish on the wheel is rough unlike the X with its glossy finish. I had problems with my Tenere getting balancing weights to stick. The garage eventually gave up and returned my wheels unbalanced and gave me fitting FOC because of it!
