Nitro x
well that got a bit of interest!. The Nitro x is definately not a placebo, i have had bikes for years and know when one runs different. I thought i would share it with you all as there is not a lot about them on the net, and not a lot of people with them.
Yes i am sure a power commander with specific maps is better and gives a power improvement but the Nitro x does not claim this and i do not either. What is has done is smooth out my slow town speed and helps the bike pull away when in a high gear. it was very easy to fit with a good delivery service, i guess i could do with a filter kit now , any ideas where i get one from and which is best. Why cant yamaha get this right at the factory, other manufactures do, i know it is due to emmissions but we pay a lot of money for our bikes. Rich |
I am researching all these options to smooth the bike and prepare for some airbox mod. In summary, I don't think the price of the PCIII is warranted for me, the Nitro X looks cool, but is actually limited with its fixed resistance values, and to me the Kev mod is the best because of the variable resistor. It can truly be tuned properly. I haven't seen a thread where anyone opened up a Nitro X, but I'd love to see the internal bits of one.

The best gain for money is from a stage 2 DNA air filter, add this to your set up & you should see around 4 to 4.5 HP gain. The stage 3 filters gives around 8hp gain in power. |
