Re-routed headers a-la true SM styles ?

Anyone given any thought to rerouting the headers to a more SM style either up the side of engine or even up around shock/swingarm area ?

Pro's:
  • Higher clearance
  • 2 into 1 = weight loss
Con's:
  • louder pipe really really really loud (possible mot fail with or without baffle, hence you must swap for original before every mot.)
  • must re-route rear brake reservoir and master cylinder all the way up to the filter port, otherwise it will melt
  • must protect & isolate the ht lead for the same reason
  • must re-route and protect coolant oil pipe on the right side of the radiator or this will go up in smoke too
  • must always wear high motocross style boots or you'll get a nasty burn on the inside of your calve muscle.
  • extremely hot in summer
  • Off The Road will charge you an arm and a leg for it anyway....
