Nipped up to CMC Chesterfield Monday night after work to see the silver Yamaha press fleet one they had in there for a few days. Being a gurlie on my own, dressed in work gear driving barely 500 worth of car I wasn't worthy of much attention and didn't even get to have a sit on it.....

Which is a shame as when i have the cash for doing some serious mileage tours and want a bike to do it on this one will be top of my list. Although I wouldn't be using it for any serious off roading the styling of the alternatives don't appeal (remember it has to have a tuning fork emblem on it), even though an FJ or TDM would be a sensible choice.

I think it would be better in blue than the silver I saw as the plastics/fairing at the front appeared rather a large expanse without anything to break them up. Loved the wheels, disks, brakes, engine, frame, seat, tank. Tail unit not bad for a modern bike. Headlights seemed a ickle bit small in proportion to the rest of the bike, but i am a sucker for the 'frown' of the TDM900 and had hoped it would be a little more like that - though may be better when they are on. The exhaust was hidden behind the pannier which was a blessing from the little I could see of it, but that is the case on nearly all new bike these days and it would have to go in the bin ASAP for me.

Just my two'pennorth.
